Padayatra has always been a successful platform for politicians to meet the public and increase their image. A few leaders even came to power due to the padayatra effect. Another young leader is going to start the yatra in a few days to try his luck. Former Minister Nara Lokesh is all set to start his yatra.
Nara Lokesh's padayatra titled 'Yuva Galam' will be started soon. The Former Minister will cover 1,000 kilometers and meet people. The grand old Telugu Desam Party pinned high hopes on the yatra that it would increase the image of Nara Lokesh and boost the party's mileage.
Now there are many doubts about the yatra given the new Government Order that was issued by the Andhra Pradesh government on public meetings and events. The order says that events will be allowed in public places as they cause trouble for people.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu's Kuppam tour became a sensation as the permission to hold events was not granted allegedly. Even the campaign vehicles were also seized and sent to the nearby police station. The TDP leaders and police are said to have had an intense argument.
The film events of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi are also denied permission as per the information. Though there is an opinion that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government will go soft on Nandamuri hero and his Akhanda film was not impacted by the GO to reduce the movie ticket prices, his event was denied permission.
With no other option left the makers of Veera Simha Reddy opted for another venue and sought permission for the event and the government is said to have given its nod for the same.
Now all eyes are on Lokesh to see what happens with his yatra. Given the political rivalry between YSRCP and TDP, the chances of Nara Lokesh's padayatra getting targeted are very high. His padayatra will surely get impacted.
The opposition party has to move the court to challenge the GO and then continue the padayatra. It would take a lot of time for this and the padayatra schedule would get impacted. So it is a double blow for the padayatra. He should either skip meeting people while doing the yatra or take a halt in the yatra to challenge the GO.
