Huge shock to TRS: Ex-MP Narsaiah Goud to join BJP

In a major shock to the ruling TRS ahead of the electioneering in Munugode, former MP and BC leader Boora Narsaiah Goud is all set to resign from the TRS and join the BJP. This is being seen as a major political coup in Munugode.
Narsaiah Goud is said to be in New Delhi with a large number of his followers and is said to have met both Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay and party affairs incharge Tarun Chugh. He is likely to join the party in a couple of days.
A thoroughly rattled TRS leadership tried hard to convince Goud not to join the BJP. KCR is said to have personally told him that he would give him an important position in the party at the national level. But Boora Narsaiah Gound did not relent. He and a large number of his supporters have already left for Delhi to join the party.
Goud wanted the party ticket, but incharge minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy and the TRS top leadership preferred Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy. Munugode has a large number of BCs and several BC leaders, including Boora Narsaiah Goud and Karne Prabhakar vied for the party ticket. Goud was disappointed when he was ignored and Reddy was preferred.
Even otherwise, Narasiah Goud has been sulking for quite some time over the Jagadeeshwar Reddy sidelining him. He did not even get invites for several party meetings. Though he had taken the issue to the notice of KCR, nothing much happened. An angry Goud was not seen anywhere during the nomination of Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy.
His resignation from the party is set to cause huge loss to the TRS. Goud has been active during the Telangana agitation in forming a powerful Doctors JAC. He has wide connections in the region and has considerable support among the BCs. His joining the BJP is sure to boost the morale of the BJP.
