Hyderabad Hosts First Gay Marriage

Hyderabad now finds a place in the LGBTQ atlas with the first ever gay couple marriage happening in the city on Sunday. Supriyo Chakraborty (31) and Abhay Dang, both from Kolkata, became 'husband' and 'husband' in Hyderabad at a ceremony officiated by a transgender.
For Sophia David, the transgender, who officiated the ceremony, this is the first time she had performed a marriage ceremony. Both Supriyo and Abhay knew each other for eight years.
