In a first, Sharmila to skip Christmas festivities at Idupulapaya
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Dec 2022 6:55 AM GMTYSR's daughter and YSRTP chief YS Sharmila is going to break the long-held convention of a family get-together at Idupulapaya during the Christmas season. Yes. This year, she is not going to be part of the YSR family's gettogether at the YSR Samadhi in Kadapa district's Idupulapaya. This perhaps will be the first time she is going to skip the Christmas celebrations.
If party sources are to be believed, she has already left for the US to spend Christmas holidays with her husband and children. She was not available for the party workers even during her birthday. The party workers were disappointed at her absence during her birthday. Now, she will not be present at the family gathering during Christmas time.
Those in the know say that this is indicative of the widening gulf between Sharmila and her brother and AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Both the siblings are said to be not on talking terms. Even otherwise, both were choosing different times to offer prayers at YSR's samadhi on his birth and death anniversaries.
Meanwhile, Sharmila has not taken up any major programmes after her yatra was stopped in Narsampet of former Warangal district. Sources say that she is likely to resume her yatra after Sankranthi only. After a few days of padayatra, she is likely to close the yatra with a public meeting in Warangal.
