Intel reports say TRS is weak in 4 mandals in Munugodu

In what is being seen as bad news for the ruling TRS in Munugode, survey report after survey report is saying that the party is quite weak in at least three mandals. As many as six surveys were commissioned on the mood in Munugode by the TRS in recent times. In all these surveys, the report is more or less similar, say highly placed sources.
According to all these survey reports, the party is swimming against the tide in Chandur, Marriguda and Nampalli mandals. The surveys, which tried to elicit public opinion about the implementation of the welfare schemes, developmental works, accessibility of the party leaders and the general opinion about the party, have given similar reports. They said the general mood is against the ruling TRS.
Some surveys have also said that the party is doing poorly in the newly-carved out Gattuppal mandal too. Party's key leaders are camping in different villages of the Munugode constituency and are trying to turn the tide in favour of the party. But, BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy appear to be quite popular in all these mandals.
Sources say that Harish Rao and KTR are personally monitoring the party's campaign. They are conducting daily review meetings. Reports are also being sent to KCR, who himself is monitoring the situation from close quarters. The general impression is that TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy is no match for Komatireddy, whose contacts are deep-rooted and well-knit.
