Interesting: 3 Out Of 4 MLAs Wooed By BJP Are Not Original TRS!

The alleged attempt to buy the TRS MLAs is shacking the political spectrum in Telangana. Ahead of the Munugode by-polls, the parties kept themselves busy with schemes to make the opponents weak. Now a few people reportedly tried to buy ruling party MLAs by offering Rs 100 crores each.

The new controversy is a much-talked-about issue in the state and we cannot rule out the possibility of the issue becoming a big issue in national politics. As Telangana Chief Minister KCR wants to foray into national politics, he might start a discussion at the national level.

The ruling TRS is saying that Guvvala Balaraju(Achampet MLA), Rega Kantha Rao (Pinapaka), Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy (Kollapur), and Panjugula Rohit Reddy (Tandur) were lured by the BJP by offering huge money and good posts. The cops said a similar story on the current controversy.

The interesting point here is that three out of the four MLAs were not with the TRS since its inception. Guvvala Balaraju has been with the TRS even before the state was formed and even contested from the Nagarkurnool constituency as the candidate of the grand alliance in the 2009 polls. He lost the polls. In 2014 and 18 he contested on a TRS ticket and won.

The rest of the three MLAs were with Congress once. Rohit Reddy defeated strong candidate Patnam Mahender Reddy as a Congress leader. Later he stunned everyone by joining the TRS. He started locking horns with Patnam in the constituency and their issue went to the notice of TRS leadership reportedly.

Rohit Reddy has been saying that he would get a party ticket in the next elections. Harshavardhan Reddy defeated TRS candidate Jupally Krishna Rao as a Congress leader. Despite the Velama leaders having a good winning percentage, he won the polls and surprised everyone.

But he took the TRS route later. The groups belonging to Harshavardhan Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao are reportedly having a power battle in the constituency. At one point it was reported that Jupally might leave the TRS. Another MLA Rega Kantha Rao also has a similar story. He was with Congress and jumped into TRS later.

Surprising thing is that the three MLAs won the elections as Congress MLAs in the 2014 and 2018 polls and then shifted their loyalties to the TRS. Though Maganti Gopinath joined the TRS despite running the 2014 polls on another party ticket, he was given a ticket in the next polls. But the three leaders took the TRS route after the 2018 polls.
