Cricket is the most popular sport in India. To make the game even close to the fans, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) had started the Indian Premier League(IPL) back in 2008. Since then, there has been no stopping for the tournament. With each season passing, the tournament went on to be successful.

While the local players and uncapped players get to receive a call into the Indian team by performing well in the IPL, the overseas players receive love and respect from the Indian cricket fans by playing in the tournament.

The upcoming season of the Indian Premier League is not going to be as same as the previous editions as the three players who entertained us will not be playing the next season Despite the heroics they did for their respective teams, they were not preferred by the teams in the mega auction.

Mr. 360 AB De Villiers, Mr. IPL Suresh Raina, and Universe Boss Chris Gayle were not picked by any teams in the recently concluded mega auction. As a result, we cannot see them entertaining us.

Suresh Raina has been an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings. Since its inception, the left-handed batsman has been representing the team and made valuable contributions to the team in the middle order. Shockingly CSK did not retain him or buy him in the mega auction though the team has enough money to buy him. Not only CSK, but other teams have also not bought him, making him stay out of the tournament.

Chris Gayle is a true entertainer both on and off the field. Over the years, he gained a huge fan base with his unique style and his attacking batting style. As he had retired from international cricket last year, he had opted to not make him available for the mega auction.

However, the situation of Mr.360 AB de Villiers is different. After the previous edition of IPL, the South African cricketer had announced retirement from all forms of cricket. For this reason, he is not going to be part of the IPL. After Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers used to turn hero for the team whenever it required.

Despite not being a part of the tournament, they left a big legacy during their stint in the tournament. It is going to be a big task for the teams to find their replacements.
