Is KCR putting defected MLAs future in danger?

In what could be a big development in Telangana politics, Chief Minister KCR is going soft towards the Congress party and even extending his support to the members of the Gandhi family who served as the Prime Ministers of the country.

While launching an attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government, KCR has been supporting the Gandhi family and standing in solidarity with former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi these days.

While KCR supporting the grand old party is something unexpected, the sudden development is also said to be making the MLAs who have joined the party from other outfits fear about their political future as they fear that the political equations in the state might change at once.

Ever since KCR has been supporting the Gandhi family amid an attack from the saffron party, the political analysts predict that the possibility of TRS and Congress joining hands for the upcoming general elections cannot be ruled out as anything can happen in politics.

As the Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party is aggressively going in the state, the ruling party might form an alliance as per the experts so that the winning chances might get increased.

If the same happens, then the defected legislators might not get party tickets to run the polls as TRS and Congress have to share a few seats if they join hands to jointly run the general elections.

As another dimension to this, they might not return to the Congress party as the party is dealing with such leaders swiftly. After Revnath Reddy became the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President, the party is making it tough for them to come back. We have seen this in the incident of Padi Koushik Reddy.

Sensing that their future in the party might not be bright, as many as 12 legislators from the Telangana wing of the grand old Congress party have joined the ruling outfit in Telangana, Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) a few years back. Their happiness did not last too long as they are in a new fear at present. A couple of years back, 12 MLAs joined the TRS, and their shifting of the party was approved by the Assembly speaker.
