Is TG Venkatesh leaking BJP's game-plan?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 April 2023 4:22 PM ISTTG Venkatesh is one politician who has his finger on the pulse. He almost always gets it right and joins the right party at the right moment. He has now made an interesting prediction. The prediction is that the Telangana elections may not be held as per schedule. He said that there is every possibility of the elections being held along with the Lok Sabha elections.
He says that last time, KCR had advanced the elections as it suited him. He outwitted a disorganized opposition, bucked anti-incumbency and has won a landslide. But this time around, he could prefer to go to elections along with the Lok Sabha elections, argues TG Venkatesh. If that happens, the state of Telangana could be under the president's rule for a few months.
At the same time, he said that Jagan may not dissolve the assembly and go for early polls. He says Jagan is passing through tough times and it would be a mistake if he goes for elections at this stage. He says that as of now, things are against Jagan. He felt that the elections would be held as per schedule in Andhra Pradesh.
TG's comments have set off a furious debate as to whether the BJP is planning to have Telangana elections along with the Lok Sabha elections. If that happens, which party would stand to benefit? Will the BJP be benefited by the president's rule or will the TRS make this an emotive issue and win the elections?
