Jagan Cancels 498 Acres Allotted To Balayya's S I L
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Oct 2019 6:09 AM GMTYSR Congress Government sent a strong indication by cancelling two major land deals of previous TDP Government in the recent cabinet meeting. While the first deal was regarding the allotment of 498.93 acres to the family of Balayya's Son-in-Law Sri Bharath at Jayantipuram Village in Jaggaiahpet Mandal, Second Deal was that of 13.83 acres of land allotted to Lulu Company in Visakhapatnam.
There was severe criticism on TDP Government over the allotment of Government Land to Balakrishna's Kin. Opposition Parties alleged then State Government allotted large portion of land to Balayya's Son-in-Law for a nominal price after marriage with Tejaswini as a Dowry. While each acre was allotted for a throw away price, Actual market value is in crores. TDP Government made the allotment for the establishment of a cement factory. However, No such factory was constructed so far and huge amounts of money was borrowed from banks using this land. YCP Government have every right to cancel such a deal.
TDP Government boasted about Lulu Group coming forward to invest in Visakhapatnam while making a major land allocation. So far, The company hadn't made use to the freebie in an effective manner.
Information & Public Relations Minister Perni Nani told TDP Government offered lands for a price of Rs 4 lakh per acre as against market value of Rs 50 crore.
By cancelling the land deal of previous government, YCP Govt made it clear that wrongdoings or misuse of government properties won't be tolerated. This move is now sending shivers down the spine of all those bigwigs who got benefited with TDP rule.
