Kandukur Mishap: TDP Announces Lending Hand To Victims Families!

After a successful meeting in Telangana's Khammam, the grand old Telugu Desam Party held a meeting in Kandukur in the Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. Though people attended the meeting in big numbers the meeting saw some heartbreaking incidents. As many as eight people breathed their last in the stampede-like situation.

When the crowd reportedly became uncontrollable, a stampede-like situation erupted and eight people passed away. This caught everyone's attention and the ruling YSRCP breathed fire on the TDP for this. While former Minister Kodali Nani said that Chandrababu Naidu's obsession with publicity claimed the lives, Roja demanded that a case should be filed.

The Telugu Desam Party chief went to the families of the deceased and condoled them. Nara Chandrababu Naidu assured them of help and said that the children of the deceased will be provided education through the NTR Memorial Trust.

The party leaders paid floral tributes to the deceased and said that their families will be supported and given a helping hand. A few leaders including Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, Chief of the Andhra Pradesh wing of the Telugu Desam Party paid tributes to the deceased.

The opposition party announced an ex-gratia of Rs 24 lakhs for the deceased. All the families will be receiving Rs 24 lakhs each from the grand old party. The party announced an ex-gratia of Rs 15 lakhs each. The balance amount was announced by the party leaders.

The families of the deceased will also receive ex-gratia from the Andhra Pradesh government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Victims who sustained injuries will receive Rs 50,000 from AP Govt and Narendra Modi. The family members of the deceased were awarded Rs 2 lakh as ex-gratia.
