KCR to contest 50 Lok Sabha seats from former Nizam state?
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Oct 2022 6:35 AM GMTWith the mist around KCR's national party formation cleared, the focus is now on the nitty gritty of the party. Like the TRS formation, he is likely to begin with a massive rally from Karimnagar. In fact, his first ever public meeting was in Karimnagar. While it is not as yet clear as to whether the pink flag will stay, it is almost certain that the car symbol is going to stay.
The name of the party, the colour of the party flag, party symbol and other details would be announced only in Karimnagar. At the same time, KCR is said to be already in talks with actor and Modi baiter Prakash Raj and former Gujarat CM and an enemy of Modi Shankar Singh Vaghela. He is likely to seek their support for his party.
If sources are to be believed, KCR is planning to contest from at least 50 Lok Sabha seats . His focus would be mainly in erstwhile Nizam state. Thus, he would work and put up candidates in Gulbarga, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded, Raichur and Osmanabad, which were part of the erstwhile Hyderabad state. At the same time, he is said to be planning to cobble up alliances with farmers organisations in North India.
Sources say that KCR himself would take over as the president of the party, while KTR would be made the president of the Telangana state unit. K Keshava Rao, who has nation-wide connections as a Rajya Sabha member, will be given a key post in the to-be constituted national party, sources say.
