KCR Warning To Legislators Appears True With IT Raids!
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Nov 2022 6:34 AM GMTThe opposition parties and the outfits that are against the Bharatiya Janata Party often allege that the Union government is using the central agencies against the opponents to settle the political scores. The selective searches and raids against the other party members only add fuel to this debate.
The trend happened in many states and a Cabinet Minister in West Bengal was arrested and sent to jail. As the ruling party in Telangana TRS is waging a war with the saffron party the central agencies ran their show in the case. The Directorate of Enforcement is currently probing the Casino row and the brothers of Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav were grilled.
Earlier ED sleuths conducted raids at residences and properties that belong to Minister Gangula Kamalakar Reddy and Rajya Sabha Member Gayatri Devi. After the Enforcement Directorate, it is now the turn of IT to raise the political heat.
The latest information is that the Income Tax Officials raised the properties that belong to Minister Mallareddy. Not just that, but the residences and properties that belong to the Minister's son and others were also raised. The IT sleuths were reportedly divided into teams to conduct the searches.
Mallareddy is not just a Minister. He is a popular educationalist and runs Malla Reddy college. The educational institution he runs covers all the major fields like Engineering, Doctor, B.Ed, and others. There is also a University called Mallareddy University.
Controversies are not new for the Malla Reddy institution. A couple of years back the Malla Reddy College of Engineering (MRCE) was blacklisted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) citing a few violations. The apex body also said that experts backed the decision.
Another thing that needs to be mentioned here is that a few days back Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR recently warned the party legislators to be cautious as the central agencies might target them. KCR's words come true with IT raids in the state.
Lashing out at the Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly trying to poach the MLAs, KCR said the saffron party can stoop to any low and even warned the party legislators of possible raids and searches.
