Kishan Reddy To Be Face Of BJP's Strategy In Telangana?

The Bharatiya Janata Party which is in power at the Centre is not strong in the southern states. It had only one southern state in hand which is Karnataka. But the saffron party lost it and the opposition parties targeted it saying that the South became BJP-free and the rest of the nation will also be BJP-free soon.
Before the crucial 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP is focusing on poll-bound states and Telangana is one of them. The party is appearing strong in the state as it has few MLAs and MPs from the state. Eyeing the elections, the party is said to be coming up with new strategies.
If we have to take anything from the media reports, BJP is in plans to come up with a strategy with Kishan Reddy who is currently serving as the Union Minister. He might be made the T-BJP chief by replacing Bandi Sanjay.
Bandi Sanjay has been serving as the chief of the state for a few years. Under his leadership, the party won the Huzurabad polls. However many say that the personal image of Etela Rajender played a big role in this and BJP cannot claim sole credit.
In the recent Munugode, which is dubbed as the costliest election in the world, BJP tasted defeat. Though the margin of votes is very narrow, the by-election defeat almost put brakes to BJP's aggression in the state.
On top of this, the leaders in the state are said to be not happy with Bandi Sanjay and want a change. The BJP leadership wants Kishan Reddy to take his place. Kishan Reddy is a senior leader and started his career with Janata Party.
Kishan Reddy has first-hand experience of running the party. In the combined state, he served as the state BJP president. So the experience would come in handy. Even after the state formation, he held the state chief position of the Saffron party for two years between 2014-16. Considering all these factors, the BJP Delhi leadership is said to be in plans to make the chief yet again to boost the party's image.
