X
For the past few days, it has been reported that Senior leader, Bhuvanagiri MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy might bid goodbye to the Congress party. He is unhappy with the party and not taking part in the party activities. He also faced allegations that he supported his brother Raj Gopal Reddy, a BJP candidate in the Munugode by-polls, and shocked his party. The party leadership slapped a show-cause notice to him. He is keeping his distance from the party activities as he is unhappy with the Congress party. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. So the reports of him leaving the party started.

When the reports were doing rounds, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy reacted to them and gave clarity on this. He condemned the reports and said that there is no truth behind this. Saying that his blood is Congress, the MP alleged that the reports are spread on purpose. Saying that she was with Sonia Gandhi yesterday, Venkat Reddy made it clear that he has no options in front of him and that he will walk with Congress only.

Komatireddy hoped for Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief and All India Congress Committee(AICC) posts. But the leadership did not give him the posts. As he was not given any posts, reports started spreading that he might leave the party soon.

Komatireddy's younger brother Raj Gopal Reddy joined the Bharatiya Janata Party earlier which became the reason behind the Munugode Assembly constituency going for the by-polls. However, he could not win the polls and lost. As the younger brother joined the saffron camp, reports started doing rounds that Venkat Reddy might also leave the party. However, that did not happen as the MP cleared the air on this.

Venkat Reddy met PM Narendra Modi recently. After the meeting in Delhi, Venkat Reddy said that he cannot make everything he discussed with him public. Though he rubbished the reports of leaving the party, the MP not revealing the things started the debate. With this, the reports started doing rounds that he would join the Bharatiya Janata Party.

With the reports getting momentum, Komatireddy officially reacted and said that there is no truth in this and he is not leaving the Congress party.
