Kotamreddy as friend and Kotamreddy as enemy

Has YS Jagan Mohan Reddy erred in alienating Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy? It appears so. Till now confined to just his constituency, Kotamreddy is now hogging limelight across the state and is now expanding his influence to various other constituencies in Nellore district.
Kotamreddy was quite loyal to the YSRCP, but of late he began criticizing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership. He was also upset with the cases foisted against him. In retaliation, he is believed to have voted against the party candidate in the recent MLC elections. As a result, he has been suspended from the party.
Kotamreddy is using the suspension period to force the ruling party to dismiss him from the party so that his MLA seat would be safe. So, he is organizing programmes that irk the ruling party. After taking up the issue of repairs to the Potlapalem reservoir, he has now taken up the issue of non-release of funds to the famous Bara Shahid dargah in Nellore.
By taking up this issue, he is trying to wean away Muslims from the YSRCP. He has claimed that the 1.5 crores were sanctioned for the development and upkeep of the dargah, but they have not been released so far. He demanded their immediate release. This has put the cash-strapped YSRCP in a spot of bother. Several leaders are saying that Kotamreddy would further raise similar issues and put the government in a difficult situation.
