Left Parties feel insulted by TRS in Munugode
X
Who is cutting the sorriest figure in the Munugode byelections? No marks for guessing! It's the two Left Parties. Their leaders in Hyderabad have entered into an electoral understanding with the ruling TRS, but at the ground level, the TRS leaders are giving no importance whatsoever to the Left party cadre. In most cases, their role is confined to being mere side showpieces.

The ruling TRS leaders are bossing around and even the Left cadre are forced to do things that the cadres of the other parties do. They are reportedly forced to carry and disburse cash to the voters. This would affect their standing in the long run, feel several Left leaders. Many are reportedly questioning the playing a second fiddle to the TRS.

Recently, the TRS and the CPM jointly attended a campaign meeting. Minister Malla Reddy and CPM leader Cherupally Seetharamulu Were to address the meeting. First, Malla Reddy spoke and left the venue saying that he has another meeting to address. Cherupalli had to address empty chairs as most of the TRS cadre left along with the minister.

In Puttapaka village, the sarpanch and other ward members are from the CPM. But, the TRS cadre is bossing around and is making the CPM cadre do things they would never normally do. There is a lot of discontent against the alliance with the TRS. Many CPM cadres and even small-time leaders are questioning as to why the party should stoop so low just to defeat the BJP.
