Liquor Scam accused Goldstone Srinivas Rao's links worry TRS

The latest revelations in the Delhi liquor scam and the subsequent raids on Hyderabad-based Goldstone Srinivasa Rao aka Chennamaneni Srinivasa Rao seem to be giving sleepless nights to the ruling TRS in Telangana. His links with the ruling family of the TRS are now the talk of the town. With the probe deepening, links with the KCR family are tumbling out.
Rajya Sabha MP Joginpally Santosh Kumar was the director in seven companies and in several such companies, both Santosh Kumar and Srinivas Rao were directors. Some companies were closed within eight and nine months. Santosh Kumar resigned from all these companies in March 2016, when he became the Rajya Sabha member.
Santosh Kumar was on the board of directors of the Hyderabad Shopping Company, which belongs to Srinivas Rao. Sources say that the ED and other central departments are now probing into the financial dealings of all the companies in which Santosh Kumar was a director. The sleuths are already said to be questioning some of the key persons in these companies.
There are allegations that several members of the extended family of the TRS boss have been on the boards of several such companies. All these are now said to be sending jitters to the first family. With elections to the Telangana assembly barely a year away, the party is worried about the fallout of these revelations and the investigations.
