We are hearing new news every day about conducting elections. As per the latest indications that are coming from the centre, Narendra Modi is thinking of going to mini Jamili elections. Earlier, he focused on the Jamili elections. However, the exercise seemed very tough. With this, he is said to have focused on mini Jamili elections. There is a reason for focusing on mini Jamili elections.
Elections are due in five states in December. Six more states will go for elections in May-June. Jammu Kashmir elections are also pending. In total, 12 states are due for polls. The Lok Sabha elections are also due in May-June. Assembly and Parliament elections are to be held in a gap of a few months.
It takes hundreds of crores of money and manpower to hold elections throughout the nation as elections should be held for Assembly and Parliament seats differently. It also takes a lot of effort for this. Narendra Modi is reportedly thinking of postponing the elections in five states for three months so that the 12 state Assembly elections and Parliament elections can be held together.
The Indian Election Commission can hold the Assembly elections a few months prior. But it needs an order from the President to postpone the same. So, the Parliament elections can be held along with the Assembly elections in 12 states if the elections in five states are prolonged for three months. That's why the elections are seen as mini Jamili elections. As of now, we are seeing different outcomes with Parliament and Assembly elections being held differently. We have to wait and see what happens if mini-Jamili elections are held.
