MLA begins chant of Om KCR to get party ticket

It's election time and the BRS sitting MLAs are finding innovative ways to catch the attention of party boss KCR. They are coming up interesting ways to impress him so that he renominates them from their constituencies. They are intensifying their efforts amid reports that some of the sitting MLAs could be replaced.

First it was minister Satyavathi Rathod. The minister got the name of KCR tattooed on her hand to show her devotion towards the leader. Now, another sitting MLA, Dr Thatikonda Rajaiah of Station Ghanpur, has begun growing beard and doing tapasya to catch KCR's attention. Rajaiah said that he was doing tapasya so that KCR shows mercy on him and gives him the party ticket one more time.

Rajaiah is chanting "om KCR Om om KCR" mantra these days. He says that he needs the support of everyone in his constituency so that KCR renominates him. He also appealed to the people of his constituency to pray for him. Thatikonda Rajaiah was a former deputy chief minister and was a minister during the first term of KCR.

Though he was made an MLA in 2018, he was not given place in the council of minister. He now finds the going quite tough because of the anti-incumbency. To add to his woes, another former deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari is also vying for the same seat. While Rajaiah originally belonged to the Congress before joining the BRS, Kadiyam Srihari was with the TDP, before jumping into the BRS bandwagon.
