MLA Can Have A Sigh Of Relief In Fake Votes Row?

Razole MLA Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao won the 2019 elections on the Janasena ticket and became the sole MLA from the party. However, the former Congress party leader shifted his loyalties to the ruling YSRCP and it is said that he might not get a Janasena ticket for the next elections.
The MLA landed in a big soup over his comments on winning the elections with fake votes. The issue was also taken to the notice of the state election commission and the body directed the concerned Collector to look into the matter and submit a report by questioning the accused.
The MLA is said to have received a big relief in the case as the people who were questioned by the Collector said they did not cat fake votes to the MLA. It has been reported that the accused gave their response in writing and gave their statements on the fake votes row. In total, eight people were grilled including the Razole MLA.
As per the information, those who were questioned by the Collector reportedly said that they did not cast fake votes for Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao in the last elections and they had nothing to do with. Having received the information in writing, the Collector is expected to submit the report soon.
During the inquiry, the people reportedly said that they are activists of the YSRCP and worked for the party and asked how they would vote for Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao that too fake votes.
Rapaka is serving as the MLA from the Razole constituency. He got elected from the region in 2009 in the combined state on a Congress party ticket. However, he could not repeat the victory in the 2014 polls. In 2019, he contested as Janasena leader and emerged victorious.
