MLAs Poaching Case: No Relief For Telangana Government In SC!

The alleged MLAs' poaching case gave a big chance for the Telangana government to target the BJP and prove its hand in this. If the alleged role can be unearthed then it would work as a big weapon for the BRS which wants to create its mark on national politics and bring an alternative front.

But the BRS government is facing back-to-back blows with the episode and it is not getting any relief. Yet again the KCR government suffered a big shock and the Supreme Court gave a shocking decision. Political experts say that the Supreme Court spoiled the BRS efforts.

It is known that the Telangana government is working hard to see that the MLAs poaching row will not land in hands of CBI as it wants the Special Investigation Team to probe the matter. After facing two shocks from the Telangana High Court, the government moved the Supreme Court.

But there is no relief to the Telangana government as the Supreme Court is said to have told the lawyers that it cannot restrict the CBI from probing the matter. Lawyers representing the Telangana government told the Supreme Court that the evidence in the case and said that giving the case to CBI now is not good and sought some time for the arguments.

The lawyers reportedly asked the bench to give orders to stop the CBI from putting pressure on the case or even issue a stay on the matter, the bench said. The political observers say that it is almost a game-over situation for BRS and CBI would take over the case soon.

Though no concrete evidence was found in the case to frame the Bharatiya Janata Party, one of the accused in the case BL Santhosh is a party leader who is serving as the National Secretary of the party.

The case earlier saw many twists and turns. Earlier the Court asked what the Telangana government wants to prove as the data which is said to be a piece of key evidence was sent to the court by the Government. The lawyer had to give an apology for this.
