Munugode Polls: Congress Finds Candidate In Ex Mp's Daughter!

All eyes are now on the Munugode by-poll in Telangana. The by-election is a big test for the grand old Congress than the other two parties TRS and Bharatiya Janata Party. Despite all this, Congress leadership took some time to confirm a candidate as there are man aspirants for the party ticket.
After a lot of thinking and exercise, the Congress leadership announced Palvai Sravanthi, daughter of senior Congress leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy as the party candidate. Out of the final candidates' list, the leadership reportedly fixed on Sravanthi.
The Congress party cannot take any chance with the Munugode by-poll. A few experts say that the Munugode result might reflect public opinion in the next general election in the state. So winning the poll is a must as the party is on the path to bringing the lost glory.
Moreover, it has been widely reported that the Munugode by-poll might also decide the fate of Revanth Reddy as the Chief of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) as the seniors in the party are not happy with him in the boss position.
Looking at all these factors, winning the by-poll is very crucial for the Congress party, and looking at various parameters and issues Palvai Sravanthi was fixed. The Congress party has a strong cadre and the local leaders reportedly supported Sravanthi and the leadership went with the trend.
Sravanthi hails from a Congress family and her father held various positions in the party. He served as a Rajya Sabha member and represented the Congress party in the Assembly in combined Andhra Pradesh five times. Her family has a good image in the region and the local leaders are with Sravanthi.
Moreover, the Reddy community has a strong base in the region, and previous MLA Komarireddy Raj Gopal Reddy belongs to the same community. This aspect might have also worked in favour of Sravanthi in getting the party ticket for the upcoming by-election.
Despite facing competition from the other aspirants, luck shined on Palvai Sravanthi's side and she was picked as the party candidate. Her followers are happy with this and they are hoping that she would win the polls.
