New Govt In Karnataka With CM And Deputy's Oath Taking Ceremony!

All roads are now leading to Bengaluru. The Congress party is high on Josh by winning the Karnataka elections. After a long suspense, the Congress party picked candidates for Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister posts. Though there were earlier reports that 20 MLAs would take the oath. However, only eight MLAs made it to the final list.
The iconic Kanteerava Stadium hosted the oath-taking ceremony of the Chief Minister and Deputy. Siddaramaiah and DK Shiva Kumar took oath along with the Cabinet Ministers. Governor Thawarchand Gehlot administered the oath-taking ceremony. This is the second term of Siddaramaiah as the Karnataka Chief Minister. Dr. G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, and MB Patil took oath as Cabinet Ministers.
Massive arrangements were made for the ceremony and party cadres and activists gathered in big numbers for the same. ID cards were also given to people who were invited to the ceremony. It is said that even the media personnel were also given ID cards.
As announced earlier, the ceremony took place at 12.30 PM at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. It was a grand political affair leaders from various states were invited to the ceremony. Obliging the request the leaders took out time from their busy schedules and graced the event.
Looking at the invitees to the ceremony, a few Chief Ministers and former Chief Ministers were also invited from different states. Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Kamal Haasan, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several others graced the event. Though a few other Chief Ministers were also invited, they could not attend due to personal reasons.
All the invited leaders share one thing in common which is the anti-BJP stand. Due to various reasons, the leaders are against the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If possible they want to defeat the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls.
As they all came under one roof for the ceremony, it can be a big step in bringing a stronger opposition to take on the mighty BJP. Before the Karnataka elections, there were doubts about the Congress party's strength. But things changed now and Congress is still in the race.
