No Big Sensation Around BRS as TRS expected?

As announced earlier, Telangana Chief Minister KCR forayed into national politics and announced the name change of TRS to suit national politics. Starting from the announcement day, there was a huge buzz for a few days on theories and speculations on what will the Chief Minister do next.

Now there is no buzz or news around the party or the next step. Except for news of KCR inspecting the party office in the national capital Delhi and holding meetings to discuss the pro-family schemes, there is no news or announcement from TRS or its leaders.

The pace of KCR's plans won't suit a person who wants to become a national leader and bring an alternative force to the mighty BJP. The party which is trying to create an impact in national politics should have a presence in multiple states.

If the party cannot crack the other states, at least it should try to ally with local parties. Tamil Nadu won't accept northern parties in power and that is why Congress and BJP are in alliance with Tamil Nadu politics. That sort of political planning is needed.

If we take the example of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, he is slowly expanding his party's range. His AAP came to power in Punjab by defeating Congress and BJP and he is focusing on other states including BJP's strong fort Gujarat. As BJP is a common enemy, Congress might ally with AAP in the next polls if possible.

KCR should do such kind of planning. The political experts predicted that a few parties might merge with TRS. Sadly that did not happen. The only support KCR received as of now is that of former Karnataka Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy is not in a good position in Karnataka and no one can assure what would happen with his help. Together, they might win a few seats in Karnataka. But that will not be sufficient and something big is needed.

There are only two national parties that fall under the guidelines of the Election Commission- BJP and Congress. KCR wants to make BRS the third national party which is a massive thing. But what he is doing for that is a question here.

He wants to bank on the negative image of the BJP. There is no doubt that BJP is facing a lot of negative image but no one is able to cash that and with the pace at which things are going on as far as BRS is concerned, KCR is also lagging.
