No Need To Show Mercy On PM Assassins: Venkaiah Naidu!
X
Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu who recently stepped down as the Vice President kept his distance from political developments. He is spending quality time with his family and appearing in events rarely. Naidu Garu is in the news now with his sensational comments on the Rajiv Gandhi case.

It is known that the Supreme Court recently gave orders to make the convicts walk out of the jail in connection with the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. The convicts moved the Supreme Court. The Tamil Nadu government and Gandhi Family said they had no issues if the convicts get bail.

Former Vice President of India Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu reacted to the development and found fault with the release of convicts. He said there is no need of showing mercy to convicts who assassinated the Prime Minister of India.

Saying that personal opinion and politics are different Vankaiah Naidu said the case had shaken the nation at once at that time and those convicts should not have been released. He asked what's the need to do.

Talking about the increase in terrorism, Venkaiah Naidu said that terrorism is increasing and people should be more cautious with such things. It cannot be taken lightly and people should have their ears for that.

There is a point in what Venkaiah Naidu said. Assassinating the serving Prime Minister of India for not standing with their community people is not a small thing and no one has an answer why the Gandhi family did not object to the release of the convicts.

Besides Rajiv Gandhi, a few others were also killed in this and their respective families are still mourning their deaths. Interestingly only the opinion of the Tamil Nadu government and the Gandhi Family were considered while the families of other deceased victims were not asked.

Rajiv Gandhi who was the Prime Minister then was killed in a suicide bombing attack in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. The attack happened on 21 May 1991. Besides Rajiv Gandhi around a dozen people are said to have breathed their last. The militant body LTTE which fights for Tamil Rights planned this.
