Operation Youth Akarsh: KTR to call up young first-time voters
X
The ruling BRS in Telangana is planning a unique initiative. The programme that is being planned involves direct phone calls to the young and first-time voters from no less a person than KTR himself. The plan is to woo the young voters, who appear to be deeply unhappy with the BRS government in the state.

Several surveys commissioned by the BRS have brought to the fore the disconcerting fact that the youth are disinclined to support the BRS in the coming election, There are around 30 lakh voters in the 18-22 years category in Telangana state and their votes are crucial in several assembly constituencies.

The participation of the youth in the BRS activity too is minimal. Despite the best efforts, the youth are not coming any closer to the BRS. The party also seen that the young voters have not voted for the party in the GHMC, Dubbak and Huzurabad elections. In fact, several first-time voters were seen vigorously campaigning for the BJP.

Hence the BRS is planning a youth outreach under which, KTR will directly call up young voters. The party is also said to be mulling about organizing youth meets in various colleges and universities in the state. These meetings and phone-ins would be organized in the month of August, when the admission process in the colleges and universities gets completed.
