Opposition Parties Interested In Congress, What About BRS?
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 March 2023 1:01 PM GMTWithout any doubt, the upcoming Lok Sabha polls are going to be interesting and intense. The polls will show the real strength of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition parties. Though the parties want to come together, a few issues are stopping this from happening.
All the like-minded parties have one aim, which is to see that the Bharatiya Janata Party won't come to power. Many parties which are in power in their respective states want the same. But no leader is able to bring all of them under one roof to take on the mighty BJP.
The Telangana Chief Minister KCR made his TRS BRS to bring an alternative front. He met a few link-minded leaders and Chief Ministers. But there is no clarity on what the BRS wants to do with the grand old Congress party. Given the issues between the parties, we cannot assure that they will work together.
Now the opposition parties in the country made a big statement that they will work with the Congress party and the alliance without Congress is not possible. Tamil Nadu saw a big event with many leaders coming together.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin celebrated his birthday the other day. Many leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Uttar Pradesh ex-CM Akhilesh Yadav, Jammu & Kashmir ex-CM Farooq Abdullah, Bihar deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav and others attended the event.
At the crucial event, Stalin said that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are very crucial for the nation and stopping BJP is the need of the hour. He also said that the alliance should be fixed now itself and alliance after the elections will not achieve anything.
The opposition leaders said that the Prime Minister's face is not a big issue and they can come to a conclusion later. The leaders called upon the importance of having a supporting party at the centre. The parties and the heads made it clear that they want to walk with the grand old Congress and alliance is not possible without the party.
This raised many doubts about BRS. With the parties showing interest in Congress, we have to wait and see what they will do with BRS. Co-incidentally the Chief Ministers of Telugu states YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao were not invited to the meeting.
