Plans to further weaken YV Subba Reddy in YSRCP?
Is there a concerted attempt within the YSRCP to sideline YV Subba Reddy? Many YSRCP leaders feel so. They feel that YV Subba Reddy was deliberately made incharge of getting Kola Guruvu elected as the MLC. He was the seventh YSRCP candidate and he was allotted the four MLAs who are believed to have defied the party line.

Four MLAs – Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Mekapati Chandramohan Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Undavalli Sridevi – have reportedly voted for the TDP and helped its candidate Panchumarthi Anuradha to win as an MLC. This was a huge setback for the YSRCP, which was hoping to make a clean-sweep of all the seven MLC seats.

Sources say, Subba Reddy was made incharge for ensuring the victory of Kola Guruvulu, the seventh YSRCP MLC candidate. He was allotted the votes of several MLAs, including the four MLAs in question. All the four have reportedly cross-voted. Now, the party leadership feels that YV Subba Reddy has failed to deliver. Many feel that this is an attempt to further sideline YV, who is already in a non-political position as the TTD chairperson.

YSRCP sources say that party general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy has already been marginalized. He has no importance whatsoever in the party. Now, attempts are afoot to sideline even YV. This only means that power would be completely in the hands of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
