PM Modi pays tributes to Legendary Maratha King

People cannot simply remember a personality even hundreds of years after his death unless the personality left a great imprint in the hearts of the people. The love and devotion people have towards the personality should have to be carried forward to the next generations to make one alive in peoples' memories.
Legendary Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is one such personality. The founder of the Maratha empire is a celebrated name across the nation. Today marks the birth anniversary of the ruler and celebrations were held in various parts of the country.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the celebrated Maratha king and paid rich tribute to him. Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister said that the leadership skills are aspiring to the coming generations.
In a tweet made in Marathi, Narendra Modi spoke highly about the social welfare carried out by the legendary king and said that the Union Government will fulfill the vision of the leader.
"I bow to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Jayanti. His outstanding leadership & emphasis on social welfare has been inspiring people for generations. He was uncompromising when it came to standing up for values of truth & justice. We're committed to fulfilling his vision," the Prime Minister’s Marathi tweet loosely translates.
