In what could be a sensational development in politics, two different forces, Telangana Chief Minister KCR and senior Congress leader Vundavalli Arun Kumar met for a key meeting as the former is busy making efforts to bring an alternative front at the national level to counter the BJP. KCR is gathering support from all the corners.

On Monday the key meeting took place. Vundavalli Arun Kumar said that political strategist Prashant Kishor was also present at the meeting and he spoke for a brief period while KCR spoke most of the time and he was amused by the knowledge KCR has on national politics.

Drawing a comparison between KCR and other Chief Ministers, the ex-MP said KCR is more capable than others. The former Parliamentarian said that having good oratory skills makes him the best.

In his lengthy press briefing, Vundavalli Arun Kumar spoke of various things and came down severely on the BJP over its ideology. Vundavalli said he is not against the BJP or RSS, but he is not happy with the dictatorship being implemented by the party.

On the occasion, Vundavalli Arun Kumar highlighted the things that might work in favor and said that the Andhra Pradesh government should make the best of it and achieve the long-pending demands like the special category status and Railway Zone from the union government.

Talking about the presidential elections, Vundavalli Arun Kumar said that the strength YSRCP has in Parliament will come in handy in the polls, and hence the state government should utilize this as BJP wants the support. Vundavalli said that BJP surely wants the support of the YCP and this is the best opportunity to achieve the demands.

When Telangana was carved out of combined Andhra Pradesh and the state was left without any capital, the then Union government led by Congress made many promises to the state. However, Congress lost the elections and BJP rose to power. The requests made by the previous and current Andhra Pradesh governments were ignored by the Union government.

Forget about the special category, the Railway Zone demand for Vizag was also not allotted. With the BJP in need of support, AP has the chance tpo get the demands achieved. But will the government achieve the same is the question here?
