The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party is in a strong position now since its inception. Currently, the party is achieving what it could not under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani, and others. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah should be credited for this huge success. The party even has a strong foot in the northeast now.
The party wants to form government in a few states and for this, the outfit is endorsing the double engine model which says it would be of great benefit if the party is in power at the Center and state too.
To support their claims the saffron party is taking the examples of states in which the party is in power. As the party is in power in both areas no issues are popping up and the states are also getting good investments. We have seen this with the cases of states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.
One of the key leaders in the grand old Congress party hit back at BJP over the double engine claims and took a dig at it. She was addressing a big gathering in the poll-bound Himachal Pradesh when she made these comments.
As the BJP is in power in Himachal Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi asked what good thing happened to the state with the double-engine model. Talking about the increasing unemployment rate and said drug menace is increasing.
Highlighting various issues in Himachal Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi said the drug issue is getting bigger and bigger and that needs to be addressed. The youth here want employment and they get drugs instead she alleged.
Drawing a comparison between Himachal Pradesh and Congress-ruled states Priyanka Gandhi said they provided employment to the youths there and Chhattisgarh recorded one of the lowest drugs she said.
The BJP and Congress took the upcoming polls in Himachal Pradesh seriously and the grand old party is trying hard to win the elections there. For the past few days, Congress has been giving its best in targeting the BJP. As part of that, she made such comments and raised many eyeballs.
