Telangana politics saw a stunning development earlier today as the resignation submitted by Munugode MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy was submitted by the Assembly Speaker minutes after he received the letter. This made it clear that the state would see another intense by-poll in the state.
Though the by-poll was expected with Raj Gopal Reddy hinting that he would leave the party, the resignation acceptance made the way clear for the by-polls. Now nothing can stop the polls. As it is confirmed that Munugode will see a by-poll, the political parties started their work.
Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy gave a big blow to the grand old Congress party by leaving the party with which he traveled for many years. Winning the polls is very crucial for Congress as the party wants to send a strong message to opponents and Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy.
