Is Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy trying to turn the Congress defeat in Munugode to his advantage? Is he trying to covert this as an opportunity to corner senior leaders from Nalgonda like Jana Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy? Those watching the developments in the Congress answer in the affirmative. They say that Revanth is using the Munugode defeat as a stick to beat his rivals in the district.

Revanth Reddy wanted to give the ticket to Challamalla Krishna Reddy, who, he felt was resourceful and would give a decent fight. But the seniors from the party like Jana Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy supported Palvai Sravanthi's candidature.

However, when she was given the party ticket, none of these leaders came forward to campaign for her. In fact, Komatireddy worked for his brother Rajagopal Reddy. Even leaders like Jagga Reddy have reportedly backed Venkat Reddy. Revanth is now said to be planning to blame the defeat on his adversaries in the party on one hand and absolve himself of any role in the bypolls.

He is said to have decided not to say anything on Munugode defeat. But, at the same time, he would egg on his supporters to raise the issue. Already senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has found fault with the way Komatireddy Venatreddy conducted himself in the electiions. Thus,Revanth is planning to convert the defeat into an opportunity to strengthen himself in the party.
