Team India's journey in the T20 World Cup had ended on a bad note as the Men in Blue could not make it to the semi-finals. After the sad exit, India is now gearing up for a bilateral series against blackcaps New Zealand. The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) had announced the full squad for the home series against New Zealand.

Clearing the donuts on who will be Virat Kohli's successor as T20 skipper, BCCI had announced Hitman Rohit Sharma as the skipper for the series. The likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were included in the series while the stalwarts like Kohli, Bumrah, Pandya were rested.

India is scheduled to host a three-match T20 series against New Zealand. The series will start on November 17th and Jaipur will host the first match. BCCI named KL Rahul as Rohit's deputy for the series. Rahul is in his best form.

Now all eyes are on Mr. Dependeble Rahul Dravid who was appointed as the new head coach for team India. The New Zealand series is his maiden series as the coach. Before Rohit Sharma was made the captain, Rahul Dravid backed him as the skipper.

Hyderabadi pacer, who put an impressive show in the Indian Premier League(IPL) and England series was included in the team. Dc’s Avesh Khan and RCB speedster Harshal Patel were given a call into the team to be part of India's bowling attack.

Indian legendary player Sunil Gavaskar had welcomed Rohit's appointment as the skipper for the T20 format and called him the best one to do the job. Reminding that Rohit Sharma had led the team on a few instances when Virat Kohli was absent, Gavaskar said Rohit has a good record and expressed his confidence that he will take the Indian team to further heights.
