Shocking:BJP Removes Somu Veerraju As AP Chief

If there is any state in the South in which the Bharatiya Janata Party is strong other than Karnataka, then it has to be Telangana. The state will go for elections this year and the party leadership is also putting focus on the state. Of late there is a big debate that the T-BJP chief would be changed and a few names are doing rounds on this.
Amid this, an unexpected thing as Somu Veerraju was reportedly sacked as the AP BJP chief. This should be seen as BJP mark shock as this happened without any buzz. Though we are hearing that the party is looking at changing leaders in a few states, no one would have thought that the change would be so fast.
As per the media reports, BJP National President JP Nadda called Somu Veerraju and informed him of the news. It is said that he was reportedly assured a big post in the coming days. With this, his stint as the Chief of the BJP for Andhra Pradesh came to an end in less than three years.
Kanna Lakshminarayana used to be the AP BJP chief and Somu Veerraju replaced him on July 27 in 2020. Many felt that Somu Veerraju's appointment would do wonders for the party. But that did not happen. When Kanna was the chief, AP BJP aggressively targeted the YCP.
But the same aggression is missing after Somu Veerraju became the chief. The party failed to achieve anything under his leadership. On the other hand, BJP even lost its sitting MLC position. Seeing no growth in his leadership is said to be one of the reasons behind the decision.
On the other hand, it is also said that Somu Veerraju shows more interest in targeting the TDP than the YCP. Recently, we have seen how Somu Veerraju increased the political heat in AP by saying that he would reveal the secrets of TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu.
The general elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh next year and seeing no big growth in the AP wing in Somu Veerraju's leadership, the party is said to have opted to remove him.
