Silent minister's violent reaction is now the talk of the town
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Aug 2022 5:25 AM GMTBudi Mutyala Naidu is one of the deputy chief ministers in Andhra Pradesh and is relatively unknown because of his unusually low profile. He refuses limelight and stays away from the arc lights. He has not given an interview so far. Except for his close circles and the staff., not many know him.
He either spends time in his constituency of Madugula in Vizag district or stays in Vijayawada. Beyond this, he is not seen in other places. He is known to be a silent man. But, he is a two-time MLA and has remained loyal to YS Jagan. In the recent reshuffle, he was made the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
But this unusually silent politician went ballistic recently. He was all fire and brimstone at some recent media reports that said that there was acute water scarcity in Madugula. The deputy chief minister attacked the media in the zilla parishad meeting and dared them to prove that there is water scarcity in his constituency.
He also said that he would resign from the deputy CM's post if it was proved that his constituency was suffering from water shortage. Political pundits say that the deputy chief minister should not have put his deputy CM's post at stake. In a huge constituency such as Madugula, there could be one or two cases of water scarcity. If they are highlighted, he may have to resign from his post, say critics. Some YSRCP leaders too said that he should not have said that he would resign from the Deputy CM post if water scarcity is proved in his constituency.
