Stray Dogs Menace: Revanth Reddy lashes Out At Government!
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Feb 2023 9:45 PM ISTThe stray dogs' menace is back in the news in Telangana with the recent Amberpet incident. A pack of dogs attacked and bit a four years old boy. The incident claimed the victimâs life and created a sensation in the state. Many questions are raised by the civic body of Hyderabad, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) in dealing with the menace.
GHMC spends money every year to deal with the stray dogs' menace. However, the menace is not coming down. At regular intervals, we hear incidents of stray dogs attacking people. As the victim in the case is a small boy and he was attacked aggressively by dogs, the issue raised many eyeballs. The ruling party is facing severe criticism on this.
Now firebrand leader Revanth Reddy joined the row and lashed out at the ruling party. The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) chief asked why the government was negligent in the case and not meeting the victimâs family. Reventh asked why KTR did not meet the family yet.
Revanth asked how a Minister can say that Animal Birth Control Operations will be carried out instead of meeting the victimâs family. Talking about the recent Formula race, Revanth Reddy opined that it would be good if KTR had more interest in supporting the family rather than the race.
Revanth also blasted Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi for her statement that stray dogs tend to behave aggressively when people stop feeding them. She also said that the stray dogs might have attacked the boy out of hunger for not eating for a few days.
Not happy with the comments made by the Mayor and Minister, Revanth Reddy asked how a situation is addressed. The response they gave on the issue is even more shocking than the incident, he said.
Talking about the incident, the victim is a four-year-old boy who was identified as Pradeep. When his father took him to his workplace, he started playing there and dogs marched at him suddenly. It was too late by the time the father of the victim reached the spot. The doctors reportedly declared the boy brought dead.
