Sunil Bansal pours cold water on TDP hopes
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Jan 2023 6:05 AM GMTBJP top leader and incharge for several states including the Telugu states Sunil Bansal literally poured cold water on the section of media favourably disposed towards the TDP when he said that there was no question whatsoever of the BJP aligning with any other political party in both the Telugu states.
This has virtually put paid to the campaign unleashed by this section of the media that the BJP might align with the BJP in both AP and Telangana. In Telangana, the TDP will be a junior partner to the TDP, while it would be vice versa in AP. This would be a win-win proposition for both the parties in the two states, the media tom-tommed.
However, Sunil Bansal who toured Telangana the other day categorically said that the BJP would go it alone and that there is no question of forming an alliance with any other party. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party was capable of winning the assembly election on its own and there was no need to join hands with anyone else.
The TDP is desperately seeking an alliance with the BJP in Andhra Pradesh. It has already managed to rope in the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena into its fold. The TDP hoped to bring in the BJP too into the team so that it would form a formidable alliance that can give the YSRCP a run for its money. However, the BJP seems least interested in aligning with the TDP.
