TDP Sees YCP Role in RTC Declining Buses Arrangement!
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 May 2022 9:05 AM GMTKeeping the old tradition alive, the grand old Telugu Desam Party is gearing up to celebrate the two-day-long event Mahanadu. It starts on May 27, marking the birthday of the founder of the Telugu Desam Party Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who went on to become the combined Andhra Pradesh.
When the preparations are underway for Mahanadu, the transport corporation Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) shocked the Telugu Desam Party saying that it cannot arrange buses for the Mahanadu. It is said that RTC changed its decision and said no to arranging buses.
The TDP is seeing this issue from a political lens and alleging that in the words of the ruling YSRCP, the APSRTC might have decided to not arrange buses for the party for the annual event Mahanadu. With RTC working under the government, the opinion has some weight.
Showing interest to arrange buses first and now changing the decision made TDP grow suspicious that APSRTC is favoring the ruling party by shocking the opposition party. The new development came when TDP is alleging that the ruling party will not let the Mahanadu happen.
Recently, the APSRTC was acquired by the Andhra Pradesh government. With this, the government enjoys a good hold on the corporation and it can decide whom to arrange buses and whom not to.
On the other hand, there are reports that the APSRTC is arranging buses for the ruling party leaders for the party events. To meet the demand, the transport corporation is reportedly taking buses on rent to look at the arrangements.
