Finally, TDP chief Chandrababu Nadu and his son and party general secretary Nara Lokesh have bitten the bullet. They will launch their public outreach through "badude badudu" programmes from May 4. This is aimed at reactivating the somnolent cadres and leaders of the party. He would seek to highlight the deteriorating law and order in the state and the spate of rapes happening in AP.

On May 4, Chandrababu would tour Dalla Valasa village in Amadalavalasa assembly constituency in Srikakulam. The next day, he would go to Talla Valasa in Bheemili assembly constituency. He would address a public meeting in the village. On May 6, he will visit Tallarevu in Mummidivaram constituency in East Godavari district.

Soon after Mahanadu, both Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh will embark upon a state-wide yatra. While it is still not clear whether this would be a bus yatra or padayatra, the TDP sources say that these yatras would mobilise the TDP cadres for the upcoming elections in 2024. They say the target is to grab power in 2024.

The TDP feels that the rising prices, the failing economy of the state and the falling law and order situation in the state will benefit it. It argues that the people are already fed up with the YSRCP rule and that the TDP should take advantage of the situation in the state to stage a comeback. So, hectic activity would be seen on the TDP front from now on.
