TRS fancied to win Munugode by 10000 votes?

While several surveys predict a photo finish in Munugode, the ruling TRS is confident that it will romp home with a majority of at least 10000 The TRS feels that there are several factors that are going in its favour. It also feels that the situation on the ground is different from what is being portrayed in the reports that emanate from Hyderabad.
The Congress Party is down, but not completely out, feels the TRS. The surveys it commissioned on a daily basis show that the Congress Party and the Communist Parties are still strong. The vote bank of these two parties is largely intact. If the Left Party votes go for the TRS, it would be advantageous to the TRS. Similarly, if the Congress performs better, the BJP prospects become dimmer to that extent.
The TRS also estimates that the minority voters, who till now remained steadfast with Komatireddy Rajapopal Reddy, might not vote for him this time as he has joined the BJP, which they feel is their enemy. In addition, many voters seem to believe that voting for the ruling party is good at this stage. So, the TRS, the surveys feel, enjoys a lead of 10000 to 15000 votes over the BJP.
But one this is clear. The whole thing has boiled down to a money game. The ruling TRS, it is believed, is ready to spend up to Rs 10000 per vote. This was the asking rate in Huzurabad bypoll too. The party reportedly made preparations to reach out to at least over a lakh voters.The TRS sources feel that a victory is certain in Munugode.
