The divorce settlements between the top-most richest people and their spouses always attract a wide range of attention. We have seen the same in the cases of Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Talking about Jeff Bezos's incident, his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott became one of the richest people in the world after the divorce settlement.

Now the world is currently talking about the probable biggest divorce settlement that was made between a Dubai ruler and his ex-wife. The settlement was made after a court in the United Kingdom had issued an order announcing the divorce between the ex-couple.

Going into detail, the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum was directed by the London High Court to pay as much as around 550 million pounds that translates to $730 million to his ex-wife Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein. The settlement is being dubbed as one of the highest settlements.

It has been widely reported that the amount the Princess will receive as the divorce settlement will be used for maintaining the mansions and pay the charges for the security charges of her family.

Things reportedly turned ugly between the couple when the ruler reportedly spied on the Princess. Since then, the princess has been alleging that she is facing a threat from the ruler and has started a legal battle against him. The battle ended in favor of the Princess.

On the other hand, it has been widely reported that Princess Haya had an affair with one of the security personnel and when she was blackmailed on the same, the Princess reportedly paid $8.8 million to see that the issue won’t get public. On top of that, the money she paid was taken from the bank accounts that were opened in the name of their children.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Princess Haya bint a-Hussein tied the knot in 2004. 15 years after their marriage, United Arab Emirates(UAE) Prime Minister Al-Maktoum reportedly divorced her as per the Sharia law, but his wife was not informed about the same. Since then, she has been fighting against the Dubai Ruler.
