India had won the prestigious Miss Universe back in 2000. Since then the wait for the beauty pageant has been continuing. To end the long wait, a 21-year-old Indian model was crowned the beauty pageant at the beauty event that was held the other day in Israel's Eilat.

The Next Year, Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the Miss Max Emerging Star India. Adding more features to her cap, Harnaaz was crowned the Femina Miss India Punjab 2019. The model also competed in the Femina Miss India and she found a spot in the top 12 in the model.
Harnaaz Sandhu's journey continued further as she emerged as one of the Top 50 semi-finalists of Miss Diva of the 2021 edition. Harnaaz scripted history by becoming the third Indian model to win the Miss Universe title after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta.
