Who Should Get Credit For Pause In RINL Privatisation?

There is a saying that there will be no permanent enemies or friends in politics. This proverb correctly suits the current scenario. We have seen some tense situations in the state when the Telangana movement was at its peak. KCR, who played a key role in the movement, made some objectionable comments about Andhra, its leaders, and its people.

Now the tables have turned and the TRS, which is now BRS, is showing love towards Andhra Pradesh. BRS wants to enter the political arena in AP and it wants a strong reason. So the Vizag Steel Plant issue came into its books. It is fighting against the privatization row.

Faggan Singh Kulaste, the Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel of India said that the Vizag Steel plant will not be privatized and the government is aimed at strengthening the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited. This development is not expected.

Now the BRS is trying to take credit for this. Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao said that it was their fight that made the Centre take a back step. The Cabinet Minister even said that the BRS flag is support for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Saying that the party fought against this, Harish Rao said the main parties in AP did not raise their voices.

Telangana IT Minister KTR also joined the row and said that this is the power of KCR. KTR said that KCR strongly gave his voice against this and the Centre took a backstep.

Former Cabinet Minister Perni Nani reacted to the claims of KTR and said that it is funny to hear such things. He asked if the union government would go back after seeing the fight of the BRS. If this is the case, why is the BJP not slowing down in Telangana? Nani asked Telangana why it is opposing the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme if it really has love towards Andhra Pradesh.

The other day, Harish Rao and Andhra Pradesh Ministers had a war of words. Harish's comments asking AP Construction workers to change their votes to Telangana started a tense situation and we got to hear some strong words.
