Why is MLA after MLA revolting in the YSRCP?

Is a revolt brewing in the ruling YSRCP? Why is party MLA after party MLA coming out into the open and criticize the ruling dispensation? First it was former minister and Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. Even after the party acted against him, another heavyweight from Nellore, Kotamreddy SridharReddy too has expressed his dissatisfaction at the Village Volunteers system, which he said was bypassing the MLAs.
Then former home minister Mekathoti Sucharita raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership. Her husband has already left the party and she said that as a wife, it was imperative for her to follow him. As if this was not enough, another party MLA Arthur too has expressed dissatisfaction at the way the MLAs were reduced to mere figureheads due to the volunteers system.
YSRCP internal sources say that several ZPTCs, MPTCs and even sarpanches are feeling that they have gained nothing by getting elected. They strongly feel that the party has a support system for them. It was after this discontent came out into the open that YS Jagan started the process of distributing largesse through the MPTCs, ZPTCs and MLAs.
Internal groupism too seems to be dogging the YSRCP. Fights between MLAs and their challengers are now public spectacles. Due to all these, the party image is suffering severely. Will chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy take immediate corrective steps to set things right in the party? Let’s wait and watch how things unfold.
