Why is there so much silence on BRS?
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Oct 2022 4:06 AM GMTHas KCR given up, albeit temporarily, the idea of Bharat Rashtra Samithi/ Though he is in Delhi for the past couple of days, he has made no attempt to explain the policies and programmes of the party to the media persons in the national capital. He has not met any media person during this period.
The party leadership has submitted a petition to the Election Commission to accept the change o the name from TRS to the BRS. This petition was based on the resolutions passed by the district and the state unit of the TRS. But, now the ball in the court of the EC and unless it comes up with a decision, nothing much can happen.
In the meanwhile, KCR could have explained the reasons for the change of the name andalso could talk about the party's principles. However, KCR did not do that. In fact, he did not give any explanation to the mediapersons even on the day when the change of the name was announced in Hyderaad.
Highly placed sources say that there are lingering doubts even within the top TRS leaders about the name change. No one exactly knows how this will benefit the party and what additional mileage it would get. Also, there is not much enthusiasm among the non-Congress and the non-BJP parties about the BRS.
