By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Dec 2022 9:05 AM GMTThe popularity of social media has reached a point where we can know the trending points and issues by looking at the trends. If something is trending on social media we need to understand that the topic is in discussion among people. The news on social media reached people rapidly compared to traditional media.
Not just the state-concerned matters, but even the national topics trend on social media. We have seen how Cricket fans expressed their anger against the IPL after India was knocked out of the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. Saying that Indian players are giving more importance to IPL than international cricket they trended ban IPL hashtag.
Since yesterday #LiquorQueen has been Trending On Twitter and lets us dive deeper to know about it. It is known that the ED which is probing the matter had submitted a report. Around 36 names were mentioned in it including Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
After the report came to light, the hashtag Liquor queen started trending. The tweets made under the hashtag dubb Kavitha as liquor queen. The hashtag became a big topic of discussion among the common people and political circles too.
She might be an MLC, but she is the daughter of the Chief Minister who wants to enter national politics to take on the mighty Bharatiya Janata Party. Before his big entry, Kavitha's name appeared in the report and this raised many eyeballs.
Many suspect that the BJP's supporters might be behind the trend as the Telangana wing of the BJP has been alleging that Kavitha is also part of the scam. Earlier she moved the court to get directives to stop the BJP leaders to not take her name in the case as no evidence is there to blame her.
On the other hand, earlier Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was dubbed as "Liquor King" in the past by social media users when the alleged scam came out. With similar words used there is a big debate that BJP supporters might have led the attack. Bharatiya Janata Party has one of the strong social media wings and we cannot unsee this.
