Will TDP join NDA this Vijaya Dasami?

A section of the media is agog with stories that the TDP will join the NDA and that this would happen during the Vijaya Dasami. This has suddenly heated up the Telugu politics and the talk of political realignment and its possible impact on the ruling YSRCP have begun in the media sector. Reports of a possible alliance with the TDP have appeared in the national media too.
This is music to the ears of the Telugu Desam Party, which has been yearning for an alliance with the BJP. The party has been moving heaven and earth to mellow down the BJP. TDP sources say that there are at least two indications that the BJP and the TDP are inching closer. Firstly, the security has been increased for Chandrababu Naidu. In a recent review, the security cover for Chandrababu has been doubled.
Secondly, otherwise silent Ashok Gajapathi Raju has slammed the YSRCP government for posing problems to the Ganesha pandals in the state. "Why are there problems only during the Hindu festivities," he asked on Sunday. This again is being seen as an indication that the TDP is planning to take up Hindu causes also. Political analysts say that this shows that the TDP is working overtime to come closer to the BJP.
However, the YSRCP sources say that there is no indication that the BJP is moving closer to the TDP. This is wishful thinking on TDP's part, they point out. There is no statement from the BJP too in this. The BJP is maintaining total silence on this issue. Sources say that as of now the BJP need the YSRCP more than the TDP as it has several key bills to get approved by the Rajya Sabha, where the BJP falls short of absolute majority and needs the support of friendly party.
