Balayya Faces The Wrath Of His Voters
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 July 2018 6:25 AM GMTNandamuri Balakrishna made many promises to the voters of Hindupur Assembly Constituency during the 2014 General Elections. Supply of drinking water to every household in the constituency is the major promise among them.
Since NTR floated the party in 1982, People of Hindupur has always elected Telugu Desam Candidates. TDP has been in power for close to two decades since then but the water crisis wasn't resolved. Their hopes to see a change after Balayya became their MLA were ruined as nothing much happened in the past four years.
Balakrishna faced the ire of Hindupur Voters during his ongoing Palle Bata programme. When he was touring Chilamattur Mandal, Women staged dharna in front of the MLA in protest against his failure in addressing the drinking water crisis. Protestors expressed their anguish when cops refused to allow them to bring the issue to the notice of the legislator.
How could Balayya handle this negativity to emerge victorious in 2019 Elections? In 2014 Polls, He managed to win with just around 15,000 votes. What if he loses anywhere close to 20,000 votes by the time of next elections?
